Things we love about the Seine

05 Sep Things we love about the Seine

Walking along the banks of River Seine is one of our favourite walks in Paris as the area played a huge part in the history of Paris. A stroll along the banks offers many vantage points to iconic monuments such as Notre-Dame, the Louvre, the Hôtel de Ville and the Eiffel Tower. The Seine meanders through Paris and is 13 kilometres long. The river is crossed by 37 bridges, including 4 footbridges. For our walking tour along the banks of River Seine, I have chosen to limit our discovery to the historical heart beat of Paris, which forms a circle around the two islands of Île de la Cité and Île Saint-Louis.
